Then and Now

Dress Up

I went by mom's work with her today and got a new hat! I have also taken to carrying around my "purses" I think I'm going to be an accessory girl!

Weekend Fun

Uncle Jason came to visit this weekend and mom was bad and didn't take a single picture. He is leaving for Boston next week so I was glad to get to see him before he left. We had a great time playing..good luck at Harvard, Uncle Jason!

On Sunday we went to the Sunset Zoo in Manhattan. Its not a very big zoo and all of the animals are ancient, but it was enough for me! They had a petting zoo too, and I got to feed the goats. It is very hard when both of your parents are veterinarians for them to let you feed and pet things at a petting zoo. There are a lot of bad things like salmonella that they know too much about. But they broke down today and let me be a kid (just washed my hands VERY well afterward.)

I preferred to walk around the zoo instead of riding in my stroller. At this point though, I just sat down and wouldn't move. I was tired and thirsty!

Here is a video of me playing with the dogs. This is one of the first times I have really gotten to play with them now that I am walking. They were very well behaved and as you can hear (in my squeals of delight) I loved it!

Visit to Stanberry

This weekend we went to Stanberry to visit my Dad's side of the family. I got to see a lot of cows, played outside a lot and helped my Great Grandma and Grandpa Nickell celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Below are some pictures from the weekend and party. There is also a video of me playing outside. As you can see, I'm enjoying my new freedom with walking/running!

Aunt Arianne Visits

Last weekend my Aunt Arianne came to visit. We had a great time playing. I am talking a ton now but when I don't think I can say a word, I say "this". All weekend I called my Aunt Arianne, "this". "This" is also what I called Grandma and Grandpa last weekend. Hopefully soon I'll be distinguishing between my family and inanimate objects!

Vacation/Fun with Grandparents

Mom and Dad got to go on a long weekend vacation last week. They left me with Grandma and Grandpa Meyer for the first time. They had a wonderful time hiking and relaxing in Colorado, while I had a great time playing with Grandma and Grandpa at my house. They took me for my first ice cream cone, played with my new bubble toys and other fun stuff!
